Name That Boat ContestThe Port Credit Power and Sail Squadron is pleased to announce that we have purchased a new mascot: a "Mini 12 Sailboat" made by Illusion. After the 1980 America's Cup in Newport, Rhode Island, a new "class" of boats was introduced to the sailing world! It was because of the resemblance to the 12 meter yachts sailed in the America's Cup that they were then named "MINI 12" As the proud owners of one of these Mini 12's we are looking for a name for our sailboat. We will have the new boat on display at the Port Credit In-Water boat show. Drop by to take a look!! Fill in the following fields and suggest a name for the MINI 12: The winner will receive 1 free course of their choice from the Port Credit Power Squadron. Contest closes November 1st, 2011 at 11:59PM |
